"It's healthy" to be away from baby

Does this statement really piss anybody else off? I don't want to go out and leave her with anybody yet. She's a part of me, EBF and I have no interest in giving her a bottle. I can leave her in another room while I shower. Put her down to cook dinner. If she's happy, I'm happy. I'm not ready for the anxiety of wondering how she is because she's out of earshot. Seems to be everybody else that knows what's best for me and baby. Thoughts?

Yes it can be annoying, you do what is best for you. I feel the same at the moment x

No one has said this to me yet thankfully, but it would piss me off too if they did. I’m EBF too so would find it very strange if someone said this to me unless I asked them personally to have my child 😅 my baby will be glued to me for the foreseeable 🥰

Yeah it frustrates me too! We’re six weeks in and still getting to know each other, I want to soak in every last minute, even if it is hard.

What a load of rubbish. They're tiny and don't even know they're separate from you!

The health visitor asked me at our 6 week appt how I had got on when I’d left baby and I was confused and said I hadn’t left her as she’s EBF and also because I don’t want to! She seemed to imply it was strange that I hadn’t left my 6 week old baby yet……..

People love to comment but only you know what’s best and if you aren’t comfortable then you don’t have to explain or justify it to anyone x

You ladies are the best 🥹
