Doesn’t sound ready. I’ve not started with my boy yet x
Need to ask a genuine question, when do nurseries expect our little ones to be toilet trained? Because my mother keeps telling me I need to get pants on my son as he's always naked from the waist down and has been since November he refuses to wear pants, I try everyday to put them on him but he pretends he needs a wee and then when I help him pull them down he runs away.. I'm getting tired of people telling me he needs to be out of nappies by now before he starts nursery which is going to be in September I think. But my mother said I need to get him in pants by July... I just don't know what to do personally. He goes on his potty no problem wees and poops but he refuses to wear anything from the waist down.
I would say she’s not ready, I am trying again when she’s 3. They say about 3 years is roundabout the right age to start
We've not properly started yet either. We tried a couple of times but she wasn't ready. As to nursery, my SIL said that theirs requires all kids in the preschool room (so 3+) to at least have started potty training. I don't think ours has any rules around potty training though!
My lg was same before Xmas. She’s now in knickers and using toilet (she won’t use potty ) I’d say not ready yet. When it was bath time or getting her ready I would let her sit on toilet for a couple of minutes. Other day she was playing out and came in all proud because she needed a wee so had one in garden. I didn’t no what to say as she was so proud of herself lol. Try pull ups and still use potty. I send my lg to nursery in a pull up with knickers over top they take pull up off. I have 2 others to take to different school that’s why we use pull ups on a morning.
Maybe she’s not ready. My LG showed no signs of readiness but we went camping for 2 weeks, we had privacy screens all around the tent and I pretty much let her roam naked from the waist down unless we went somewhere. Had a potty nearby and encouraged maybe every 20 mins. By the end of the 2 weeks we had more or less cracked it. 4 days is still very early ! X
We used the ‘Oh crap potty training book’ which was amazing. Recommends training between 20-30 months, so we did it at 26 months. A tough few days/week but seemed to be quite effective. We didn’t put pants on for 2 weeks during that time x
