Daycare

I just got offered a full time job and although I am excited I’m also very sad. My son will have to go to daycare. He is currently 10 months and will be starting by the time he’s almost 1. My heart hurts knowing I won’t be there as much. How do working moms do it ? This is already so hard and I haven’t even started

I’ve been working full time from home and I will need to go into office when my baby turns one. I’m also feeling mad guilt and would love some advice…

You need to find a daycare you feel comfortable with. Tour the facility, have a list of questions ready, but ultimately you have to trust your intuition. There will be an adjustment period for your little one and for you. It will suck but give it 2-3 weeks. Get to know the teachers/care providers by asking questions at drop off and pick up. Get to know other parents too, especially ones that have had their kids in there awhile. My daughter is currently in a new daycare because we moved. It’s been really hard and the mom guilt is real, but I’m also grateful for the help.

I’m in the same boat, just started school and he’s currently with different family members every day. On daycare waitlists in my area 😭😭😭
