That’s one area where there’s just a million different ways to do it and it just depends on the kid. It’s very much trial and error. We did dark and white noise when my little guy was little and then I got worried he wouldn’t be able to sleep without those. But it turned out fine in situations where full dark or white noise are unavailable 🤷♀️ I have friends that just let their kid nap if they got tiered while I kept to a pretty strict sleep schedule following suggested wake windows and stuff. Friends that co-sleep while I transitioned my guy to a crib in his own room at like 10 months for my personal sanity. Start with what resonates with you and you think will work, pivot if needed. If problems arise down the line don’t beat yourself up thinking something you did earlier was wrong and is now causing this problem, ‘cause you’ll truly never know just be prepared to pivot to something else. ❤️
I follow soundasleepguru on insta and she is fabulous. She has a ‘no crap’ approach to sleep and makes everything as simple as possible. All the jnfo she provides is fully evidence backed
I'm so confused too! If they're sleeping in the dark how do they learn to tell the difference between day and night?
