Help please! Painful nipple

I have been breastfeeding and pumping since my baby was born 8 weeks ago but yesterday had extreme pain in one nipple going into the breast. I couldn’t figure out what it was but feeding and pumping were excruciating to the point of tears! I noticed today that I have the tiniest little red bump on my nipple and wondering if it’s connected, does anyone know what this could be and if so how to help!? I contacted my GP but have to wait 3 days for an appointment and am worried I’ll lose my milk if I can’t feed or pump that side.

Sounds like it could be a clogged milk duct. Gentle massage, use warm and cold to relieve the pressure / pain. If it doesn’t feel better within 24/48hrs get it seen to. Hope it eases and you feel better soon!

Get a bit of oil hemp and avocado are great and massage. Squeeze ypur nipple and try to get milk out to unclog

Sunflower lecithin also helps

I second sunflower lecithin and massage breast especially in a warm steamy shower
