Colostrum? Leaking milk?

Heyy Is anyone in the same boat where their milk still didn’t come in, or no signs of changes in breasts. Like if you’re over 36 weeks at least.. It’s weird, coz with my first child, my breast grew so much and I began producing colostrum towards the end of my pregnancy. Now with my second, not a leak of milk..

I am 40 weeks and no leaking still

Me too! 37+4 and still nothing 🤷🏻‍♀️

I'm 37+3 and nothing here either... Don't think my boobs have changed significantly either (though they weren't small in the first place!). Hoping milk will come in when baby does... Don't think I'll be harvesting colostrum before hand by the looks of things..I can't even squeeze a drop out

37+2 and nothing, no breast pain, enlargement nothing. No leaking either. I’m going to start from today with trying for colostrum but I’m not holding out hope

Your milk itself won’t come in til day 3ish after baby is born and colostrum sometimes not until they are here and that big rush of hormones are triggered so don’t worry x

38+2 and nothing here too. Not a drop

Thanks everyone!

@Herbi yeah I know, I heard some don’t come until after birth. I was just comparing the fact that with my first I had colostrum and this time I don’t. Shows how every pregnancy is different I guess

I’ve just put a post about this too, I’m glad it’s not just me. I breastfeed my toddler too.

@Imane yeah absolutely 😁 I’m the same actually not leaked nearly as much this time although still have a bit but used to wake up like soaked in first x

@Kimberley I think that’s what it is, having breastfed before hand and then stopping. Perhaps that impacts on the hormones this time around.

@Imane yeh I’m not actually sure if my toddler is getting anything at the moment. It’s a real tricky one.

@Kimberley oh, you didn’t stop? I was told to stop since I got pregnant, plus my daughter weaned herself off anyways, even tho I wished I had continued for her

@Imane You were told to stop? Oh right 😔I’ve carried on going because I found that even though he was dry nursing for quite a while he was still benefitting from it so I’ll let him naturally wean plus with new baby on the way I didn’t want to my boobs to not be used to it then all of a sudden I have a newborn feeding 20 plus times a day 😂 maybe your little one may want to feed again once the baby is here 🥰
