You're paying for the nursery. Kids get ill and can't go. It happens. You're still paying. They could only stop it if you were claiming and not actually paying for him to go
@Corinne yeah I’m paying for him to go but then I get near enough all of it back 2 weeks later. They ask for proof of payment, I’m just scared they’ll stop it as he’s not there majority of the time! He’s just such an ill, sicky child it’s hard work! Xx
I'm not sure then. I paid regardless of whether she was there or not. Don't suppose they would actually find out unless they do a review (they did that with me and asked for a few months bank statements) but I've only ever had that once x
@Corinne yeah I pay regardless if he’s there or not too. Like it’s the same every month. But I just get 85% of it back so I’m not paying much out of my own money! So if they did that, I have got bank statements to prove that I’ve paid it every month. I’m just scared because he missed loads of days of being ill and not sure if it was the same criteria as like being in work and after say like 5 sick periods, they stop paying it for me x
I used to get the same before she got the free hours. Doesn't matter how much time off they have. Kids gets sick. No percentage of time for attendance or anything. My only concern is if you're getting a refund from the nursery for time when he is off as ill. Generally they wouldn't find out but on the rare occasion they are within their rights to check your accounts (all of them) to see what income and outgoings you have x
@Corinne a refund from the nursery? The nursery isn’t giving me anything back the only money I get back is off UC. The only thing they’d see is me paying the childcare (same amount every month) whether he’s there or not. As long as the amount of sick days doesn’t matter that’s all I wanted to know, thank you x

I’ve got to pay for the nursery whether he goes or not. But they pay 85% of it. So I send them the receipt from the nursery which is what it would be if he went everyday.
