Reduced movement

Has anybody experienced a reduction in movement at 40 weeks? I’m 39+6 and have been used to my baby being very active in pregnancy. For the last couple of days though, her movement has slowed right down. Not sure if it is because she has dropped so low down and I’m not noticing the movement so much (now she’s no longer elbowing me in the ribs). I’ve never had to call anyone regarding this issue before and not actually sure who I ring - local birth centre or the hospital? 🤦🏼‍♀️

I would call the hospital just to be on the safe side 🤍

Go to triage 100%, just to be on the safe side. Nobody ever actually answers at ours so they just say to go straight in!

Call your hospital triage, I had this and had my little girl within hours of going in for monitoring X

@Millie oh wow, really?! I thought it was just because she’s getting so big, but I would rather err on the side of caution! Xx

Yes they will put you on monitors to check everything is ok, which I am sure it will be! But take your hospital bags in the car just in case x

@Millie thank you!! I will give them a ring. Hospital bags are already ready in the car!! I was expecting her to be here by now!! Xx
