Average or oversupply

I feel like it is average but idk bc this is my first time breastfeeding/pumping with my second kid. I have been averaging about 15 oz with only pumping 4 times a day sometimes 16 oz. Been supplementing formula only twice a day. Once in the morning before I leave for work/ drop both my daughters off at the sitters and then again at night before bed. My daughter is almost 6 months old if that counts but I’ve been only pumping about that much a day for a few months now

If that’s what you’re making pumping about every four hours that would be average you’d be making about an ounce per hour which is expected. you have to remove milk more often to make more milk so if you aren’t pumping at night at all your body probably regulated to not needing it at night. I’m sure if you were able to add pumps you may not even need the formula 6-8 a day. Per pump session that’s average but still kind low than what some would expect not pumping at all at night I think

@sarah I haven’t pumped in the middle of the night since my daughter was like 4 weeks old. I pump every 2 hrs and normally my first pump is the highest at like 5-7 oz depending on the day. And normally my last pump at work is like an oz- an oz and a half

Ya makes sense the higher amount is because you haven’t pumped in a while and the rest is so low because your not removing milk often enough the night time pumps/ milk are actually the most important some people can drop them without a dip while others have to keep doing them. You definitely have an under supply
