If you use Saline with the suction it works better & is less irritating - also second the mist inhaler .. when my son had a cold we used those but to be honest the most effective was squirting breast milk up there (it happened on accident (I have insane strong letdown) & the improvement was so stark we asked the paediatrician who said it was fine & his cold was gone insanely fast after that — I read that milk will change with feedback from what’s in our babies mouth in terms of what they need so there’s a constant communication going on so it was explained to me as a tailor made cold medicine 🤷♀️
We use saline with the suction and alone. I’m not familiar with the saline mist inhaler so I’ll check that out, thanks! I’m totally fine with shooting some breast milk in there 😂 and I really believe breast milk can cure a ton of things, I love how it adapts for specific pathogens, but it doesn’t seem like she’s really sick. I’m not really convinced that it’s infectious because she doesn’t have any other symptoms. I will think about trying that anyways just to see. Thanks for the suggestions!
Try an air purifier in the room
I have one just a few feet from her bassinet. It measures the air quality as between 97-100%
Saline spray when you suction her nose, I usually do a tiny spritz in her nose again with the saline once I clear out the snot and boogies so that they are moist and the humidifier is supposed to help a lot. We have the head of the snoo raised for reflux purposes but we try to run an extremely hot shower with the door closed then once it’s steamed up really good we open up the door and durn the shower off the get some moisture in the room. I don’t do this a lot tho because I don’t want it to get too bad.
no idea if this will work but i have the same problem and am trying the Frida Baby NoseFrida Saline Mist inhaler today
