Unhelpful anxiety.

Been having a lot of anxiety lately around waking up on my back at night. I’m propped up For the most part but sometimes my lower back feels very flat. He does move a lot but sometimes it takes some time after waking up for him to start moving. I’m also anxious my baby is gonna come out with neurological issues like being Autistic. Idk why I feel like that’s a bad thing but maybe it’s the challenge of it. so I’m scared for even the shortest period of blood flow cut off will affect him. This anxiety 😥 is not helpful and I know not necessary. He is growing rapidly and making big movements. I just can’t seem to keep these thoughts at bay.

Pop a tennis ball on your lower back and tie it in place with a scarf of some sort if you are concerned.

My midwife tells me as long as you’re comfortable it’s okay. Your body will send you signals to move and change position. Babies movements are changing now since they are so big and running out of room. For the intrusive thoughts there’s something called a Bach Tincture you can take to help calm your mind!

My doctor told me that it’s more important for the mother to be comfortable and get sleep, and that if anything in your sleep in hurting you or the baby, your body will self correct

Body will definitely tell u when to switch positions! I be watching tv on my back and i be feeling like a person sitting on my chest and i know is time to turn around

Thank you ladies. His movements have felt smaller today and still feeling a little anxious. 😬 but I’m breathing through it.

Little update. Feeling him a lot more today. I think I may have just been too busy with my body yesterday to really notice how much he was moving or just kept rocking him to sleep all day. Feeling a lot more relieved and easier to keep negative thoughts away. Also thanks to the show I just started watching Yellowstone. lol it’s kept me on the couch and feeling my body more. Thanks again ladies.

@Victoria I’ve never heard of Bach tincture before, does it help a lot with anxiety?

@Kathleen yes it’s a natural way to help!
