Headaches

I’m 14weeks 2days and have been terrible headaches just in the evenings. Is this normal or should I call my OB?

Literally same !

If you’re nervous, reach out to your OB :) they should always be willing to help and give answers. However, it is very normal to have headaches during pregnancy. Increased blood supply and the stress on our bodies cause this. If it’s in the evening, it’s probably stress and lack of hydration. If you think you’re drinking enough, you’re probably not haha. Increase your intake, take Tylenol, and if it gets worse definitely reach out just incase :)

14 weeks 2 days here too — having the exact same experience. Around 3pm is when it hits. Pretty sure it’s normal, but if you’re worried you should definitely check in with your OB.

If you’re able to take your blood pressure, I’d start with that. If not, I’d call the OB. Headaches definitely don’t mean something is wrong, but if they’re persistent and you’re nervous it doesn’t hurt to call.

Do you have a history of migraines?

I was told to drink lots of water and you’re allowed to have 12oz of caffeine which is compared to 1 coke can. But also Tylenol and an excedrin tension headache works as well. That’s what I’ve done and have had no issues. But also mine was medication and getting off of meds which caused it too. Once i was off of everything i was fine after.

@Mariam Jaber you can have up to 200 mg of caffeine, which is more then a 12 oz can of coke

I have a history of migraines and for the most part they go away when I’m pregnant but it is a symptom and is completely normal to get them while pregnant due to extra blood flow. But if you are nervous you can always call you ob for reassurance

@Brystal thanks for the advice! I will def try to increase my hydration.

@Megan now question is will i end up having migraines after birth with having blood loss after delivery.

@Sophie omg mine starts around the same time. It’s so weird - I didn’t have any in the first tri and so I was freaking out. I was fighting taking Tylenol but gave in because I couldn’t sleep

@Amber thanks! I got my blood pressure checked yesterday and it was normal. Good to know that it can be normal and not a sign for concern

@Lydia I do not so getting headaches now was kinda freaking me out because unless I’m hungover I don’t get them really

@Mariam Jaber good to know! Thanks for the advice

@Megan thanks il monitor it this weekend and decide whether to call on Monday

@Teri I didn’t get them in the first trimester either! I’m taking a single Tylenol when it’s unbearable too so I’m with you!

I had the exact same thing!!!! Mine was around 12/13 but has seemed to go away mostly at almost 15 now

Same! I Started getting bad headaches at 15 weeks. Tylenol sometimes helps, sometimes not! I have been wondering if I’ve been dehydrated (though I feel I’m drinking tons of water!) or hungry when they come on.

I’ve had headaches and full blown migraines with aura for two weeks now and I am 16 weeks
