@Swapna yes definitely, this is what I'm thinking. I can take her in every week & pray she will get used to it so quickly. I guess, it is time for me to be brave up & ignore everyone what they are thinking. They probably been in the same situation as me but just staring at me & my little one behaviour. Yes especially in primary school which is so important! Sorry? Do you mean if a child goes to martial Arts will have confidence & will learn more quickly in primary school than a preschool? I didn't know this x
Both - martial arts fot confidence and discipline . And there is a reason why classes are designed according to age groups where the assumption is that kids of a particular age can stay still longer and imbibe more. There are exceptions to this , where a child picks up a skill quicker than others but that is the case with most life skills. That is why best to go without expectations.. Honestly, everyone has been where we are and we just add so much pressure on ourselves by assuming that we are being judged. And it is fine if you spend money on some sessions where the output is not what you desire. It is getting used to the idea that group exercises are also part of learning (as in getting your little one used to this) Martial art classes are very structured and this is so key in life... One might say - maybe they are not ready... I am old school so my thought process is - your are never really ready 😁 just go do it! A sort of work ethic that kids need to learn. Sorry went a bit deep there 😁😁
I think you could give it a few tries - i say this because my little one is like yours ...has her own mind. Eventually, they see what they are missing/ what others are enjoying... and yes, we have been embarrassed so many times, but we now go with no expectations and it doesn't weigh us down. We want to start martial arts classes when we turn 4 too. Don't pressurise, just go there for fun and Eventually she will start enjoying it. Also, it could help when they start primary school, their ability to mingle and participate in group activities is way higher than say a child who would go to preschool ...
