Reduced movement

I’m 38 weeks today and I’ve have had felt less to no movement as I’ve been busy. Have been lifting heavy things doing chores a lot. Is it common as I’ve been to the hospital for reduced moment twice in this month already, not sure what to do.

I’d still ring triage and see what they say ☺️

Ring and go anyway, it's not worth the risk if it's different for you x

Ring triage just to be sure x

Yeah definitely ring and see what they say! I always think I haven’t felt much movement when I’ve been super busy then I’ll have a bath and feel some movements but if I was worried I’d still ring, hope you get the reassurance you need

Even if you go to the hospital 100 times, you still need to get checked darling. Better safe than sorry x

I’ve been for reduced movements 7 times and I’m 32+5…every time they say to call and go in if needed just to be on the safe side, not worth risking anything x

I would sit down for half an hour/an hour and concentrate on what movements baby is making then if they are definitely reduced then call. It could just be that you have just been busy so haven’t been paying attention to movements as much. I have an active job and did during pregnancy. I’d often get to the end of the day and think I’ve not felt baby all day so I’d lay down for an hour and concentrate on my movements and they’d be normal. I’d just been so busy I hadn’t noticed them.

I also say go in! My little man had 3 periods of reduced movements and was taken out early and was very evidently sick inside. Please go in

Trigger warning (mention of stillbirth) My first was stillborn and after that I got pregnant with my daughter fairly quickly, and honestly I must’ve been in at least twice a month every month, they’d rather see you pretty much everyday and everything be absolutely fine than for you not to go in and something to be wrong, I’d definitely call triage (if you haven’t already) and just get baby checked over xx

We just went in at midnight because I hadn’t really felt baby much today. I was worried I’d feel like an idiot because of course as soon as we got there baby started moving but actually I’m so glad we went in. I feel like if I’m at all worried it stops the baby moving so better to be sure!

i say any reduced movements go in if you're worried!! I was in constantly with my little boy with reduced movements after my last bout of them i was sent for my 4th growth scan when they seen he hadn't grown since my last one 2 weeks prior and i was sent for an induction!! The midwife's always said to me that even if h went in at 10am for reduced movements and everything was finr and u was sent home and then at 3pm same day you wasn't happy with movements to still go back up u could be in twice a day everyday and they'd check baby everytime it doesn't bother them at all!!! xxx
