Scared

Hello everyone! I had c section for my first baby and I’m due in May for second baby. Doc wants me to try for vaginal delivery for second baby. After having a smooth c section and recovery I’m terrified of vaginal birth now. It’s always the unknown that scares us lol but I’m imagining all the horrible things that can go wrong versus how easy it was doing the c section. I need some serious support and advice ❤️❤️

Umm girl who cares what the doctor says?! Your body your choice and they won’t give you much crap for choosing a repeat Csection as the risks are pretty equal (maybe even less?) than vbac! I’m having a repeat Csection in May, if that’s what you’re comfortable with then do that?!

Omg I just realised both our babies are going to be the same age, weird!

A C-section is major surgery so it does carry risks. In general, a VBAC is considered “safer” (but not in every single case obviously). So the doctor may be giving their medical recommendation, but not necessarily considering your anxiety. It’s not an easy decision to make, but once you’ve weighed up the risks and benefits of both options your doctor should be supporting you in your decision…it’s your body!

I had a VBAC and for me personally the healing was a million times easier than a Csection. Even with second degree tearing.
