Has anyone's LO's completely dropped their naps?

I think my son might be ready to drop his nap. His sleep this week has been awful, and it's never been great to begin with. He's always gone to bed at 8pm and has been tired on the run up but this week it's been difficult to get him down before 10pm at the earliest, the other night he was awake til midnight and another night he went to bed for an hour and was then up until 3am.

I think they still need an hours nap even when they hit 2 even. Have you tried an earlier bed time?

Try to be careful when dropping a nap too early! It can make things a whole lot worse! Obviously you know your child better than anyone though so do what feels right. I do agree with Sophie…an earlier bedtime sounds like it could work. Your son could be over tired. My boy used to be fine with his 2.5 hour nap in the day and bed at 7 but he’s becoming a lot more tired and I think it’s due to growth spurt/teething etc…he then seems like he has loads of energy which can be misleading and actually overtiredness 😊

I think it’s sleep regression.. we’ve been in this hell for last 2 weeks. She won’t sleep until 10 pm. We need to hold her until she’s in very deep sleep. Then wake up multiple times and won’t sleep on her own. She definitely needs nap during the day though. 😭

I cut his nap to just an hour today and he was knackered by half 7 so I think I might have cracked it, thank you for your help! He's never been very good at sleeping anyway, haven't had a full night's sleep since I was pregnant with him😂

My sons starting to drop them.

@Katie Hopefully you can start enjoying more time in the evening! How was last night?

@Sophie he woke up just after midnight and didn't go back to sleep until 4am🥲 one day we'll all sleep again😂
