@Dalia it’s so frustrating :( he eats about 4-5oz before bedtime and it still up every two hours. When I try more, he never finishes bottle :( His dad doesn’t help at all with the night feedings. Even Since he was born. I am just exhausted and burnt out. I don’t even recognize myself anymore. Darkest circles under my eyes. All I want is a baby who sleeps through the night
I know it’s super frustrating. Babies are adaptable- can you test your baby to see if you can push to every 2 hours 15 minutes this next week ? Then maybe 2.5 hrs the week after. You can do this and your baby can too!! My little one was feeding every two hours until I challenged her to push it a bit slowly each day. You might have to take a chance but you got this!!!!!!
I definitely understand not getting the night help.. but thankfully my baby finally started to sleep longer through the night. I try to give him a bottle before he goes down & make sure he’s swaddled. If he’s not, then he tends to wake up more. Maybe try white noise!
How old is your baby? Do you have him on any type of eat/ feed/ Nap/ wake window schedule? The goal is to get all calories in thay your baby needs during the day… from day one we feed baby every 3 hours and never let her take longer than a 2 hour nap.. she is extremely consistent and making it through almost all of the night most nights except for when she goes into active sleep, which is why at 2 months we moved her into the nursery- I also don’t breastfeed so we know exactly how much she is getting, and can split the load feeding- I highly recommend some sort of schedule- the whole on demand thing doesn’t make much sense to me
I read that’s it’s normal and some babies just sleep longer through the night. And it’s frustrating reading that! How much are you feeding at night? He might want more? Is there anyone that can come and help you in the day so you can nap?
