My little girl is the same, her hands are always freezing even if we fold over the mitten parts on the arms of her sleep suit. No idea why but her back/chest is always fine so as long as they don’t feel too cold or too hot there I’m assuming it’s fine x
@Anneliese I thought about this but she's recently found out she can suck her fingers so I'm worried the mittens would come off in her mouth. She's between sizes of baby grows and not all we can fold over the sleeves but the rest of her is nice and warm
You can get sleeping bags with detachable sleeves. I got one from Slumbersac, but you can get them from other companies too.
I use the sleep suits with the bit you can fold over the hands. Don’t have many of them so I just make sure these are purely used for night time x
@Kirsten yeah I always use them so her hands are always covered over, but still get freezing cold🤷🏻♀️
We’ve started using the 2.5tog sleepsuits instead of the sleep bags and she seems to be comfier in that x
@Jade id no idea you could get sleepsuits that are 2.5 tog!! X
@Jade what do you put underneath the sleep suit? And do you put a blanket over the top? Or literally just the sleep suit? X
Yeah! Sainsbury’s are great for them! I just put her in a short sleeve vest and the 2.5tog sleep suit - no blanket! x

It's actually very normal. This is because babies move less during the night. If your baby's body temperature is fine and they don't seem affected by it, don't worry. Everything you're doing seems fine. Don't put mittens on either, it's not great for their development and it won't allow them to settle if they wake up slightly throughout the night. Babies like mouthing or just slightly suck on their little fingers throughout the night. Sometimes they wake up and do that for a tiny bit and get back to sleep. Putting mittens on will wake them up fully and unsettles them.
Put mittens on her hands?
