I don't get it

Can anyone make this make sense or tell me why. I'm a SAHM and breastfeeding our ten month old who hates bottles but will take one occasionally...so getting up with her falls to me. (Note he'd definitely get up with her if I asked but he drives a semi and I don't want him wrecking). She wakes most nights crying just for a moment then back to sleep multiple times. Basically long enough to wake me up then it takes me awhile to get back to sleep. She might eat once some nights. Any who on the weekends he'll take her sometimes overnight so I can sleep. Those nights she doesn't wake up at all. Not a single time. Why does she wake so much for me but sleeps for him?

That is such a good question and one I often ask even now with an almost 3 year old. My husband has to get up very early for work so I never wake him unless I absolutely have too. She always wakes up several times in the night grumpy for a minute or talking I'm her sleep.

Are you co-sleeping? I had the same issue! Baby often smells breast milk from us when they are near and this stimulates them to wake for feed. Because Dad doesn’t smell of breast milk they do not get the same effect. Midwife advise ❤️

How do you know she doesn’t wake? I only ask as my husband would think my son didn’t wake because he just doesn’t hear it!

Your baby can smell you love. And I too also am breastfeeding and they find comfort in the boob like a nipple too. My son always has been a bad sleeper for me but I’ve gotten strict with bedtime routine. No tvs on even if someone else is watching it and a evening with less stimulation x

@Rachel he's afraid he wouldn't hear her so he stays awake

@Anita no until 5 1/2 months she was in a bedside sleeper and now she's in her crib in her room
