We’re not all on the same page

I just need to vent my frustration about my mother-in-law. She refuses to use the training underwear I put in my daughters diaper bag, she keeps going out and buying pampers because they’re more convenient. I’m trying to get us past this potty training hump, but my daughter’s not getting the reinforcement she needs at Abue’s house. And I’m the bad guy if I try to keep my baby home for a week so we can get back into good habits. 😕 I’m just frustrated.

Be the bad guy and keep the kid home. I would tell her upfront next time you take her. "She is not wearing diapers anymore unless she is sleeping. If you cannot follow this, then she cannot come here"

@LaKeia 😥 Awwww ... I hate when I hear things like this. Its so important for all parents, sitters, teachers, Grandparents, spouses, nannies, exes, caregivers to be on the same page. Even something as simple as using the same terminology, commands and potty words so your toddler-in-training won't get confused. Here's a helpful video for you that explains explains the importance of everyone being on the same page and staying on a consistent routine and will help you navigate thru this! https://youtu.be/s2nkqKQGgkU Maybe you can explain to the other adults in a gentle way that will make them want to get on board!!
