Anxiety and Seratiline

Any mom on Seratiline to cope up with anxiety and managing baby at home? Did it help? Does it also help in controlling bp which might be elevated because of anxiety?

Hi - I am on it as I struggled a lot with who I am and my body image etc. ive been on it for a few months and it has really helped. I’ve felt much more open to conversations, with understanding my moods more, enjoying what I have around me.

I just started! I’m 2 weeks in. I’d be happy to share my experience so far if you want to message xx

I was on it long before I got pregnant but stopped it in 2019/2020. It didn’t work for me but I know it works for others.

@Georgia glad it helped u..

@Helen did any other medication helped?

Fluoxetine, been on it since 2020.

@Helen does the dose always remain the same or does it increase or decrease as per mood?

Dose is always the same. Only time it’s ever changed is when I was pregnant & then increasing it back to my usual dose.

I have been on sertraline in the past. I also found fluoxetine way better. Haven’t been on it though since started TTC in 2022.

@Kristine wow great! I am afraid of the withdrawal symptoms.. so i believe if someone wants to come out of it , they can! Would you mind to share ur story of how u managed to come out of the meds?

You do it very slowly. The recommendation is over two weeks but I would say two months is better. First you half the dose and then alternate the days which you take it. You need to be on them for a minimum of about six months though.
