I'm 3 weeks postpartum and I've started getting pains the last two days. Just on one side and the scar is a little lumpy in the tender area. I've also started bleeding again after not bleeding since day 4. I am also wondering if I should reach out to a midwife/GP?

I've had the same @Hannah and @Jade 😕 I've been experiencing internal pain on my left side and I went to the GP yesterday. I was referred for a scan to see if we can find out what's going on... might just be the recovery taking a bit longer, but I thought it was a good shout from my doctor, so maybe reach out to yours too.

I’m about to hit the 6 week mark and my recovery has been very up and down. I had severe pain and was very uncomfortable for the first 18 days. Then I felt better but then by week 4 I started having pains again. At one point I felt well enough to drive, lift heavy items and even have sex but the pain above my incision started to get bad again. I even had pain after being constipated and passing the stool. Now, I feel 100% better. What I’m trying to say is that the recovery can be inconstant, but it should be getting better hopefully. However we are all different, and if you do think that something is wrong please speak to a dr. I was happy to call 111 whenever I felt something was wrong just to make sure because I’ve heard stories of women’s recovery going back to square 1.
