I'm still feeding and rocking my baby to sleep when needed. I usually put her to bed after she is already asleep. Most of the time she opens her eyes and looks at me before turning her head and settling down to sleep again.
oh girl, same. It gives me more anxiety when trying to put her down drowsy and she gets more upset and overtired. I’d try not to worry too much. We did the same with my first who’s now 2 and she’s an amazing sleeper
@Brittany so glad to hear that! For your first did she just start to sleep more independently as she got older?
Yep! After a few months in the crib on her own , she was fine.
Naps I have been trying drowsy but awake and it has only worked twice in 3 weeks. Bedtime we have the owlet sock and no joke, we watch it and wait until it says deep sleep and then make the transfer or else it could take all night. I figure if we keep trying with naps eventually we will be able to at Bedtime.
I nurse to sleep then set her down and will continue to do so until she doesn't want to. My husband puts her down some nights when I have rehearsals so she's totally awake and falls to sleep on her own those nights.
@Kayti same! Owlet has to say deep sleep 😂
I put baby down drowsy. Sometimes he wakes, sometimes he doesn’t. I find putting him down drowsy then holding my hands on his chest / belly until his arms fully settle works best. If he starts his gymnastic routine (legs swinging) I just move my arm so they have to tame and he settles right down.
