I know it's easier said than done but don't feel awful. You'll honestly find most people don't pay attention/more give you a sympathetic look in unison as they've been there. Anyone being rude are just d**ks and you should ignore them! X

agreed. it obvs feels mortifying and embarrassing but your child is just expressing their emotions in the only way they know how. you are there to be their calm space and help them to coregulate. I wouldn’t even apologise as they are just communicating the only way they can within a public space and you don’t want your child to grow up thinking they need to apologise for big emotions x

@Abby this is really good advice not just for baby but for me too, I feel like I’m always apologising for my emotions especially being a mum with autism

It’s a really hard habit to break, we can be the generation to try to change things going forward 🤗

Remember children will always be children, don’t feel guilty or bad, the thought of people hating you on the bus is understandable and it’s an undeniable feeling and I absolutely get that every time I get on the bus, though I’ve never had an issue with my son on the bus (so far) people that take public transportation need to learn to understand there will be other service users and they literally signed up for the possibility of uncomfortable baby screaming, if they don’t want to experience that, they should get a taxi or something. This goes for EVERY public transportation, including airplanes and trains, boats. Took my son on a flight to Germany and during the landing on the way back to Scotland he was screaming, it was very uncomfortable, people looked at me and it made me very uncomfortable but the flight attendant reminded me that these people don’t matter I’ll never see them again and they signed up for this when they bought tickets. don’t worry its not your problem it’s theirs🩷
