Sleep šŸ„±

I havenā€™t slept properly for weeks. My pregnancy pillow doesnā€™t seem to be helping. Iā€™m trying so hard not to sleep on my back but thatā€™s what Iā€™ve done my whole life so I keep waking up finding myself on my back. When I try hard to sleep on my side - using pillow - I wake up with sore hips or Iā€™m just tossing and turning. šŸ˜¢ Iā€™m a girl that needs her sleep. Albeit I know when babies here I wonā€™t be getting much but thatā€™s different then!! šŸ„² Help ā¤ļø

I slept so much better with my newborn than when I was pregnant! Iā€™m the exact same that I sleep on my back and always have. You just have to keep turning back over and trust that your body will wake you up. I currently wake up about 6 times at night to swap back to my side. The shoulder and hip pain are next level though!

Iā€™ve been struggling the same for weeks now. I just move around a lot in the night to get a comfy as possible. I also allow myself to lie on my back for periods of time and just massively elevate myself. The main risk comes from lying flat on your back so if you elevate to an almost seating position youā€™re okay

I'm usually comfortable side sleeping but it's a whole different game when pregnant! I find it comfier when I successfully support the bump and have something under my waist too. I have my left arm under the pillow and my right arm slightly hugs the pillow too. Hips feel better for me when my left leg is not under the pillow but straight or sent out backwards even a little, and right knee is quite high up on top of the pillow.. This just twists the lower body onto the thigh slightly more than the hip but the waist support abd arm positions prevent me from rolling onto bump with my upper body. (Also I'm quite a still sleeper)

Still wake up with a bit of an ache, or something seems to make a clicky sound when I roll to the other side... But it's the most comfortable I've gotten so far!
