Our LO has started waking at the same time as you. Tried capping naps etc nothing worked. At nursery the other day she refused sleep however only woke once instead of three times. I tried this the following day and it was back to normal, waking up three times at the times you have said above I think it's a phase xx
Maybe he’s ready to drop to 1 nap. We went from 3 wakes up to 1 wake up at night after dropping to 1 nap. Bedtime is around 7:30-8pm and then my daughter will be up between 11:30pm and 1:30am and then up for the day at 6-7am. Then she naps around 11am and 12pm for 2 hours and her last wake window is around 5-6 hours long. We’ve also introduced tea at a later time around 6/6:30pm and make sure it’s something filling like pasta, rice, weetabix or a sandwich with a bottle to go to sleep with x
As others have said, he could definitely be ready to start transitioning to 1 nap! I know you said he wakes up at 10pm, 1am and 4am, but what time would he *usually* wake up in the morning? It might be that his wake window/s need increasing a bit to build up that sleep pressure!
@CeeCee Thankyou! In the morning he is usually up for 6:20 am. Tuesday and Thursday he has nursery at 7:45 am. The nursery routine is difficult as they have their dinner as early as 3:30. When we collect him at 5:30 he is exhausted and often goes to bed for 6 as he’s only taking 1 nap there. 🤦🏻♀️
@Emma I did wonder if nursery would have impacted his sleep at all. He has been there since 9 months old! So hard to know what to do when things change suddenly! Also he has just started to walk so I did contemplate if was a phase! So sorry you’re going through it all too! Xx
@Julia I will have to trial this! Thankyou. Usually has dinner at 3:30 pm at nursery 🥴 which makes it difficult to change routine, however hoping to implement later dinner at home to help us out more! Thankyou xx
@Yasmin Thankyou, usually up by 6:20 in the morning 🥴 what are your little ones wake windows? X
Yeah, I think there is leap 9 going on about now which means they are going through a developmental phase which usually disrupts sleep for up to 6 weeks. My LO is also teething on top of this so is waking early due to this too 😞. It all passes. I am trying to just enjoy the cuddles because they won't want me forever lol xx
I haven’t been able to get him to go down for a second nap yet 🫠 and he had his first nap this morning really early at about 8:50, woke from that at 10:30 🥴
My little boy still hasn’t gone down since he woke up at 10:30 from his nap this am. 🫠
Try putting him down for a sleep at 7pm and see how that works x
@Julia I would have loved too, but he couldn’t hang on any longer and went down at about 6:10 xx
I would definitely trial capping the second nap with the aim of reducing to one nap in the next few weeks! I would be trying to push that morning nap a bit later and let that be a good long nap and then only do a second nap 30 mins. What time does he wake in the morning? You may need bed time slightly later as well. Sleep needs can really reduce at this age
