Jaundice Help
Hey so my 4 day old baby is jaundice and the midwife’s keep telling me to pump to give him milk I’m pumping about 5 ounces of milk now. He’s got a tongue tie but he seems to be latching fine I have a really quick flow so a lot of it comes out in the first 2 minutes. Do I still need to pump I really don’t want to but the midwife’s are very adamant about it

@Lauren This! Although its flushed out through their poo, so babies poo may look a bit different than the average breastfed poo until the jaundice clears.
Yes definitely pump after every feed and give bottle, it will help with your supply also. My first had jaundice and helped x

My LO had jaundice and the way to get rid of it is to flush it out through their pee! So by giving her more milk, we were able to get rid of it! Hope it helps :)
