Weight gain

Just had my little boy weighed, he was just above the 25th centile before and he's now just under. I know their meant to follow the same line throughout. The lady who weighed him said its not really a concern but I can't help but worry. He did have his jabs two weeks ago and went off his milk for a few days then so could this of caused the drop? He was 10lb6 4 weeks ago and now 11lb6 so he's put on a pound in a month. But no idea if this is a good amount or not? He's feeding 5oz every 3 hours, sometimes drinking it all sometimes only having about 3oz. We dream feed him around midnight where he will have about 2oz then feed him again about 6am. Wondering if I need to try wake him in the night for a feed around 3? I just don't think he will take a bottle at that time as he's generally a really good sleeper.

They only tend to be concerned if they drop 2 centiles at a time, I really wouldn’t worry x

@Coadie thank you xx

Hey, ours dropped from 98th to just below 75th. For two weeks after vaccines she had low appetite, only having 20oz a day, and now has built it up back to 30oz a day. She now has regained up to 75th percentile. HV was concerned but GP wasn't. We started doing dream feeds during the night anyway as she was sleeping through xx

Mine was just below the 75th and now is between the 50th and 75th, they werent concerned.

I was never sure about how much is normal to gain and what's enough. The feeding specialist midwives told me they hope for them to gain roughly between 20g and 30g a day so sounds like despite the centile he's still gaining around the right amount. Around 100g less but over four weeks that doesn't seem like much! (I don't know how long this is for, my son is 3 months and I was told this since he's been born and was repeated to me when I had him weighed two weeks ago)
