"capping" a nap means cutting it off at a certain time
Right okay so is cat nap and cap nap the same thing? It’s so confusing all these new terminology 🤣
A cat nap is just a short nap
Capping nap is you ending the nap. Like if your kid has napped over 2 hours you want to end the nap. Cat nap is a short nap like 20 mins to an hour nap
Cat nap is when they wake up themselves from a short nap. Capping the nap means the caregiver wakes the child after a certain amount of time - generally to preserve bedtime/nighttime sleep, with total sleep in 24 hours in mind.
Cat nap is a very short nap (5-10mins). Capping a nap means letting a baby/toddler sleep until a particular time or a particular lenght.
Cat nap is any nap that is shorter than a sleep cycle (45 mins)
I can’t ever cap my boys’ naps he wakes up grumpy AF if he was woken, even accidentally. I mean that kid had 2hr naps and I always just waited until he woke naturally otherwise the next couple hrs will be torture for me. If he woke up naturally he wakes up smiley and happy.
So I’ve heard of cat nap but never cap nap but apparently from what I read it means you wake your lo up after a certain time so they don’t sleep more then a certain amount of time (30 min 1 hour etc)
