Second pregnancy after a c-section

My girl is 13 months old emergency c section, I’m currently 33 weeks pregnant, no problems so far. The scar is starting to hurt a bit but that’s due to pressure and me growing bigger. It’s not constant it twinges

WHO actually recommends at least 18 months between any pregnancies, even vaginal deliveries because it decreases the risk of preterm birth, low birth weight, and infant mortality and fosters improved maternal health, including lower risk of postpartum hemorrhage and postpartum depression & increased chances of a successful breastfeeding experience. The two year recommendation on C-sections is due to all of the above and an increased risk of uterine rupture. I would suggest speaking with your provider, who can give you better info based on your specific situation.

They actually recommend minimum a year, but anything after 18 months 🥰 I’m due in May with 2nd baby

Our son is 18 months, he was an emergency c section, we have just had our 2nd, he is now 5 weeks old. I am 37 so was classed as a high risk pregnancy anyway. We had a couple of extra scans as we have big babies(had the same scans with our 1st) other than that no problems, very healthy pregnancy.xx

I got pregnant at 9 months pp and had a second c section, so there is an 18 month gap between my boys. Second pregnancy was fine

I have a 18 month age gap between my two, my first was an emergency c section after a 36 hour labor. I carried my second to full term and even a couple extra days, although I wanted a vbac I had to have a repeat c section because baby didn’t want to drop and didn’t want to risk a uterine rupture during labor. Recovery was day and night compared to my first c section recovery and my breastfeeding journey has surpassed my journey with my first. I had no supply first pregnancy and now I’m 7 months pp and still nursing, I even have a freezer stash!

My doctor told me to wait at least until my kiddo was 1 year old but that it is recommended to wait 18 months but due to my age she said I should sooner than 18 months. It’s best to talk with you doctor

I had an emergency c section in may 2022 and a second c section in October 2023 my eldest was 17 months old when I had his twin brothers x

I had both of my babies vía c section …my first is 3 years old and my second is 7 months :)

14 months between my 2 boys. Fell pregnant when my oldest was 5 months. Was very successful pregnancy and another section was planned and was a fabby experience xx
