My son has been potty trained since December but will still hide to do a poo, I literally caught him twice straining and plopped him on the toilet and those are the only ones we’ve gotten in the toilet 🤣
We went strictly no nappies apart from bedtime there was one time shortly after starting where he was demanding a nappy for a poo but I just kept gently directing him to the potty he wasn’t happy about it he got quite emotional it was actually awful I felt like the worst mum in the world and it ended up in an accident which i cleaned up and said it was ok next time we’ll use the potty and he’s had no want for a nappy since. This is quite a common problem I’ve seen my 4 year old niece will only poo in a nappy hence why I was strictly no more nappies. The poo where he was wanting a nappy was hard and big (TMI) so I then made sure he was getting enough fibre in his diet to keep the poos soft.
Oh no! same here. Following for more advice
Girl, I’m here for advice too 😭 My little girl has been potty trained since August. She doesn’t wear nappies to nursery aswell but as far as going poo, she will hand me a nappy to put on her then she will go and hide. I can’t get her to do a poo in the potty or toilet
