@Priya thank you, the hospital hasn’t given us any pain relief. Oh that’s quite useful xx
Congratulations! I had two csections. One emergency and one elective. I understand your pain completely! The hospital sent me home with no pain relief and it was the weekend. I got onto 111 and they prescribed me co codimal maybe try that as an option if normal pain relief isn’t working x
@Hannah lovely thank you, is co codimal okay when breast feeding? (I would just ask google but it just sends me in a loop of anxiety lmao
Oh I’m not sure. I was unable to breast feed. When you call 111 they will inform you but definitely rest as much as possible x
Alternate paracetamol and ibuprofen and don’t miss a dose. When in bed keep yourself propped up so you don’t have to strain to sit up. Do make sure you move around it’s the quickest way to heal. You shouldn’t really have cocodamol if breastfeeding as baby will get some which is okay at low dose and for short periods, but if you can get through the next day or 2 you should feel much better x
@Hannah Midwife just came and said as I’m breast feeding co codimal isn’t the best. Thank you Xx
@Cece ahhh okay. Did she say anything else you can use x
@beth Thanks Beth, this is literally verbatim what my midwife just said xx
@Hannah she said a different type of codine but I can’t spell it lmao! X
Ahhh okay. Let’s hope that helps x
Congratulations on the birth of your baby. I feel you on this one Mama, I’ve had 3 previous c-sections and the healing process after was just awful for me Everytime. Just try to get plenty of rest and help when you can, keep on top of your pain relief the hospital have given you. As for the breastfeeding just try to find a comfortable position that relieves the pain a little to breastfeed, whether that be sitting up, lying on your side, propped up on a pillow. Also I find a pillow between your legs, behind your back, or neck, all help, just try it and see what works for you. I hope I’ve been a bit of a help x
