Expressing

I was torn as they say to wait 6 weeks but I wanted to start getting a stash just in case, so I started pumping once a day, in the morning from about 8 days in xx

I started too early with my first and ended up over producing and causing a whole heap of issues including a 4days hospital admission with really nasty mastitis! Won't be doing that this time round and will wait as long as I can. I will use a haaka here and there to collect milk from opposite boob or when I need to relieve the girls. I'm 5days in and already producing so much the girls are swollen and sore.

I'm already pumping started on day 5 of little ones life advised by the feeding team in the hospital to up my supply

@Debora omg I had similar story with my first too, ended up having to get my breast drained with mastitis and abscesses soooo painful, had no support at all though after my sons birth with breastfeeding didn’t have a clue so determined this time to make it work 🙏🏼

I would wait a few weeks
