The breast feeding hunger too… i dropped to my weight it was before baby almost instantly (1 week after I weighed myself) and Im pretty sure im back over that now and ebf (15 weeks pp) Im hungry most the time 😅
With my first I did, but he was also really early and I had a lot of water weight/swelling and I was back and forth to the nicu for 2 months but I foolishly thought it was the breastfeeding/pumping. My second, man this weight stuck around a lot more. Although I have to eat and drink to make the milk I just try to make healthier choices and that’s helped me drop a lot more weight. Swaping out a soda or juice for flavored water. Trying to eat more at meals so I didn’t snack so much. I still don’t eat great but it’s definitely helped swapping things out while still having the cravings.
Defo not the only one 😭
while breastfeeding you are still feeding yourself and needing to consume enough calories to feed your baby, as well as drinking enough water. It can help for some in losing weight, but I have seen about half the people i know lose weight while breastfeeding and the other half maintain or gain
Not the only one!! I get asked almost daily at work if I’m pregnant again because I have NOT lost the weight 🤦🏻♀️
Yeah Idk everyone is different. I was constantly hungry and thirsty breastfeeding. I had to incorporate cardio and lifting to actually lose weight.
Same here, not losing any weight and all the extra fat is still there :/
Been breastfeeding for 14 months now and the weight has still not shifted and shed. If anything, I have put on weight and it's almost impossible for me to lose weight no matter how much I try. My body is clinging on to every bit of fat 🥲
I lose weight the first 6 weeks maybe but now 4 months PP it’s all coming back and more. I’m just soooo hungry 😋
Yeah I never lost weight while breastfeeding (2 and 1/4 years of breast feeding). But as soon as I got pregnant and consequently stopped breastfeeding and now I’m unable to keep weight ON and just keep losing it. I’m 26 weeks pregnant with my 3rd now and I’m back to my pre pregnancy weight 5 years ago before I even had my 1st. My body is so backwards and I hate it
Not the only one, and it doesn't help that it makes you so hungry aswell!
Iv put on sm weight during breastfeeding 💔
It must be different for everyone. I’ve lost so much weight that I didn’t want to lose. At a year BF now and can’t wait to fully wean so I can put weight back on n not be disgusted by my body 😵💫
Losing weight cuz of breastfeeding is a tale to make mums feel better 😅 The body has the tendency to gain to produce and the ppl that lose weight its actually temporary. The moment i stopped breastfeeding i started losing weight and getting back to myself in many other ways.

Not the only one. I'm starving all the time and craving sweet things. I'm 9 months PP and only just managing to shift a couple pounds with exercises and limiting the sweet treats
Same here. Breastfeeding still 22 months on and I've not lost any weight at all. It's so tough - even when I'm dieting it barely comes off x
My weight has doubled since I started breastfeeding😭
I agreeee. Everyone said that and I’m breastfeeding for 6 months now and I am weighing the same when I was pregnant. I was 122 pre- pregnancy.. 145 when pregnant and now I’m at 145 again.
It’s all hormones too, everyone’s body reacts differently to their hormones and that will impact body weight. So you can do everything that the text book says to loose weight but it won’t shift. I’m just trying to exercise more and doing strength training to get stronger for now, in hope that as and when baby stops feeding I can get rid of the weight easier - more muscle, more calories burnt. That’s my current hope/theory anyway 😅
Absolutely not the only one hun, breastfeeding is catabolic meaning it can burn muscle but you get stuck in this cortisol loop where your body will not shift fat because it’s like a reserve - it’s biological, it needs the fat to make quality milk basically.. I was virtually starving myself in the beginning and could swear I was gaining weight while doing it. I’ve just gotten my period back at 16 months breastfeeding and can only say now I’m more in control of my body weight but when you’re exclusively breastfeeding it’s a completely different experience.
