Stopping breastfeeding

My BF journey has come to an end and I Nursed my baby for the last time on Friday morning. We’d gradually cut down over the past few weeks and were comfortably on one feed a night. Now it’s Sunday night, my boobs are still feeling full and sore and I’ve only hand-expressed an oz or two to ease the pain. Any mums who have stopped feeding - How long do they take to dry up completely after the last feed?

Honestly it took me about a week when I realised when I pressed my boob nothing was coming out but I wasn’t EBF and struggled with my supply xx

It can.b different for everyone. I didnt even breast feed my first and I leaked for 4/5 months. With my 2nd im still feeding but slowly weaning away from it (pumps) Will have to see how i go

It was probably about a week of a few little blockages and then another week on top of that for no leakage at all for me

Also please can I just say how amazing you've done to keep breastfeeding for so long 💕💕 people definitely underestimate how hard it is. I was really emotional when I stopped so please just give yourself a massive hug and treat yourself for doing well

How did you stop😭

Thank you! I cried my eyes out on the last feed @Jamie. I was so surprised how much I enjoyed feeding him over the months. There were a few reasons we had to stop but I’m so proud of our journey ❤️ Boobs are a bit less raging today 😅
