Girl. Ima follow this. My son counting mine saying milks 😂 I let my boyfriend handle wake ups. I put him to bed but sneak out when he wakes up. Keep some water nearby in a sippy cup. It helps my son. It’ll be tough couple days but worth the sleep gained. Now doing all the way idk how to do that
@Lex he does the cup AFTER he gets boob throughout the night, and then goes right back to my boob. he literally wakes up needing to hold my nipple… he won’t let dad lay with him for nothing at night and will wake every one up in the house for screaming if he tries to comfort 😩😩 he will leave out of the room looking for me in the house dark and all😩😩
@Kaziah i’ve been trying no luck, ive noticed everyone on this thread is going through mood swings with their little one and we are right with them unfortunately. he’s grown this attachment like i’ve never seen before. he calls them his boobies 😩😩 they older two were so much easier that third child will always be a run for your money
@Kaziah sorry he’ll be two in april
If you have anybody else that can put him to bed, I highly suggest that. My girl was def. Attached to me and REFUSED to sleep unless breastfed. Out of necessity for my health, my husband stepped in and started putting her to bed. Ngl, it was rough for the first couple weeks but after that, she accepted it and now goes to bed for him. Best part: she stopped waking in the middle of the night because she no longer was looking for me! Eventually I started putting her down for her daytime naps (which was rough for a bit…) I’m now starting to pick up the bedtime put downs… so far so good! It takes awhile but you just have to be firm and NOT. GIVE. IN. Trust, it’s WORTH THE HEADACHE!!
@Kelly yes dad did it tonight. i walked in and dad was asleep and baby was in his bed laying quietly , as i sat in my closet lol he fell asleep . he just gives me a run for my money . everything is no mommy do it .. it really worked out today. he woke up from nap and saw dad and just went back to sleep , i’m gonna try it again tomorrow. this boob obsession has got to go my boobs are gonna fall off😭😭😭
My child is 2.5 and she's still like this! It's 625 am! She wanted boob when she woke up so I gave her it, after I rolled over then she decided she wasn't finished, she then tried to turn menover and when I said no, she went into a full on attack mode! Throwing shit at me! I'm livid! I was so over it by 18m! But still doing it a year later 🙄
I felt this a few months ago! We did some light weaning, and it was a game-changer. Still nurse for naps/sleep, but no more on-demand. I did this by setting a place we nurse. We only nurse in bed. It took about a week of reminding him “no couch milk,” and I truly couldn’t sit or it would make him ask for milk, but he got it! Godspeed.
@Suzanne yes lol OMG my son does the same thing undresses me in public so i’m always dressed in graphic tees and undershirts 😩😩😩 he literally will fight me for my boob he thinks it’s his friend i just can’t anymore My nipples hurt at this point.
@Jessamyn GIRL HE WALKS ME TO THE ROOM come on mommy boob , come on mommy sit down boob it’s literally unreal lol
We had to start reading weaning books to our boob obsessed little lady. Talking a lot about when and where we can have booby milk and sticking to those boundaries. And then we hand made a book for night time that literally said night night to mommy’s boobies and they will wake up when the sun comes up. It took awhile but after LOTS of Repetition and some meltdowns it worked for us and hope you can find what works for you too!
Mine is like this with her bottles at night. She wakes like 5 times per night to have her milk, but her teeth are getting really bad. I don’t know what to do, it’s crazy how much she can scream if I don’t put it in her mouth. I have a newborn too, so I have to do what she wants in order for her not to wake up her younger sister. Idk what to tell you in terms of advice, this sounds way worse than my problem, since it’s also causing you pain. Weaning sounds like the only option, Good luck!! Mine is also turning 2 in April and is also my 3rd, so maybe there’s a connection here with the 3rd babies acting out lol
It maybe time to start to wean him off unfortunately how old is he?
