My boob will not give milk when I try and express or pump

I have tried to do this and fail every time, I have hot shower or bath, I relax, I gently squeeze release in rhymoc motion and nothing not a single drop What on earth am I going to do... My toddler is two years three months, he has breast fed since he was born and recently about a week ago he injured my aeriola and nipple, I have a wound on such and can't feed as he won't use a nipple guard, he last fed at 4pm yesterday and I'm desperate to keeo my milk going whilst it heals so he can come back to breast feeding as we both enjoy it and this week has been hell for us both only feeding one to two times in 24 hours.

You might just have to keep trying to breastfeed. Sometimes people can’t get any milk out when pumping. I’m one of those people. Idk how often he feeds in general but it’s possible he doesn’t really even get milk out now and it could be a comfort thing which would make sense why no milk is coming out. I would get some nipple butter to help heal the nipples but I’d try to feed on the one side that’s not bad and let the other heal as much as possible

@Gabrielle I didn't feed on the other and so can only use one side

Gotcha. Maybe try the other and see if he’d take it just for the comfort

@Gabrielle can you hand express?

He definitely gets milk I feel and see it coming out and hear him swallowing

But whenever I try it doesn't

Nope. After I regulated at like 4 weeks I couldn’t pump at all. And she self weaned at 7.5 months

He was feeding every two hours even through the night

Yeah it’s a struggle. Try the other side just for the time being and give other milk if he needs it

I could never get any milk out when pumping either, but breastfed for 2 years so far and going strong

@Louise this is wonderful. I'm hoping we can continue such
