@Willow shes never been in pain whilst being sick. It isn’t projectile but there is more than just a bit of spit up which is getting more each day that we’re using gaviscon
We’ve done a straight swap this week from Kendamil organic to goat. We were going to slowly transition but figured her digestive issues were already bad so how much worse could it get 🥲 she only has 3 bottles a day though, the rest breastfed. she’s definitely more comfortable already - not arching her back and squealing after a feed, more consistent and normal looking poos, less sicky and even when she does bring a little bit back up it’s way less curdled and I don’t think seems to taste as bad/burn like it was before as she’s less distressed by being sick. I think it’s worth a try, you know the current one isn’t working so what’s the harm. Good luck! X
There's nothing that shows that goats milk will help with reflux or anything. Sometimes rich formulas r just more difficult for some babies to digest on their sensitive stomachs. Things like Kendamil n aptamil are quite rich formulas, but sma and cow n gate aren't as rich n gentler on their stomachs. Goats milk can be quite fatty so it could actually make constipation n reflux worse instead. When u say sick do mean projectile sick, more spit up. Gaviscon n reflux medications aren't made to stop reflux they are want to stop the pain it causes its a big misconception that it cures n gets rid of it which no reflux medication does it just neutralises the acid so it's not as painful to spit up sometimes they get lucky n stop spitting up or reduces the amount as a nice side affect but it's not the intention. As long as ur baby isn't in pain or uncomfortable when spitting up the gaviscon is doing ita job x
