Any advice for starting toilet training

So my daughter is 3, I also have a 2 year old son so I’m going to try them at the same time ( wish me luck!) my daughter still can’t communicate it’s hand led, this is the first time trying her which she will have 3 weeks off nursery for the Easter break. Is there any tips advice etc? We have the toilet seat with steps as when speaking to the toilet training through hv they advised not to use the potty and put them in rooms around the house and to stick to using the bathroom every time. She starts reception next year so I’m hoping we will be fully trained by then as I’m not sure the procedures on nappy changing when she starts. Thank you!

Salam sis i have a 3year old daughter and a 2 year old son, with my daughter I potty trained her when she was 2, but now am kinda nervous to potty train my son but things to look out for is if they have a corner where they go when they are doing it and also get them potty training pants so when they do it they can tell the difference and importantly be patient with them, but yeah if you have tips please share too😂

I’m in the same boat my son is 3 and non verbal so doesn’t communicate properly. I’m going to try him in the summer holidays and use the same method I did with my oldest son. Leave him with no nappy on then when he starts to pee keep putting him on the potty I’m hoping it works and he gets the idea of it

@Binta Bangura Salam, thank you so much! I didn’t even know about potty training pants I’ll look them up now! My son likes to hide behind the sofa and my daughter she goes out the room! Thank you! X

@Sam that’s good! I think if I’m not successful next month I’ll try the summer again! It’s just how are they meant to let us know when we’re out or in the car that’s my worry x

No worries My daughter used to hide under the table that’s when I knew she was ready😂😂
