Wellbutrin and lexapro breatsfeeding

Has anyone had any experience with taking Wellbutrin and lexapro while breastfeeding ? I have been on lexapro before/during pregnancy and now and my baby is 10 weeks old and my PPD /PPA jd just getting worse. Maternal psych wants to add Wellbutrin. I’m just worried about not knowing any long term side affects for the baby but I also know I’m mentally not doing well …

I don’t have experience with Lexapro, but I was taking Wellbutrin before I got pregnant and started it again postpartum for postpartum anxiety and depression. Obviously everyone may react to medications differently, but my experience with Wellbutrin has been much better than any other medications I have taken in the past (Cymbalta and Zoloft). The other medications caused me to have basically no interest in life, I was a zombie. I just didn’t care about anything, no interest in sex or any of my hobbies, and started having suicidal thoughts (Zoloft). I have not had any of that with Wellbutrin. For me, it takes the edge off so I can function. I still feel all my feelings but I can handle them better. It is also used for smoking cessation and addiction. I noticed that I drank less and smoked less pot. Side effects- I did get headaches when adjusting to it and if I forget to take it for a few days. I have not noticed any effect on my daughter

@Megan thank you for this

No problem, hun. It’s important to remember to take care of ourselves during this time too. Medication helps me take care of myself so I can take care of her. I hope that the Wellbutrin is as helpful for you as it has been for me 🫶
