When/ how to stop pumping

My little one is 8 months old, and due to heart condition impacting weight gain, is now on high energy milk - I am still pumping to mix some of my milk with this milk. The paediatrician has told me today little one will continue on the high energy, and I have a massive freezer stash, so I want to stop pumping. I only pump twice a day, once in the morning and once at night. Should I gradually stop this or would I be fine to just stop?

I'd still.be gradual, lower each pump by half time then remove one then the other sort of thing probably

Thank you for your reply, I don't really want to stop to be honest, but I think with the tiny amount I add to the high energy milk, the stash in my freezer will be more than enough to cover until little one reaches at least a year which was when I planned to stop anyway.

@Kylie would you like to donate Or you can use in the bath or keep up to a year in deep freeze for on their cereal etc as a toddler

@Amelia I don't believe I'm able to donate, as my pump was second-hand - I was told that you're not able to donate if you use a second-hand pump. I currently use it in the bath (when I remember 🤣) and on cereal, too 😊
