@Flo I hope so it’s just so frustrating sometimes. She was with my mum on Friday and had no issues but yesterday when we was there she refused to go to her and had an absolute meltdown when she tried to give her a cuddle and I couldn’t even make a drink without her pulling on my leg screaming mum. Hoping it’s just a phase😩
Yeah it's horrible I really feel for you! It does get easier he screamed the whole day being with his grandparents last time they babysat but yesterday he only cried the first 10 minutes then was fine. It gets easier but it's brutal I feel for you x
I’m sure it’s the going back to work and she’ll adjust. It’s such a huge change for them isn’t it but it’s tough when they’re on you non stop. We’re about to cross the same bridge.
We have similar, my girls really good for my mum when I'm not there. But if she comes round to visit she clings to me, think it's cause she thinks I'll be leaving! Sure it will pass once they are in the swing of nursery etc but they've gone from having us all the time to bring left loaaads more
When I had the 9-12 review with the health visitor she said to expect this as they reach this age as they start to become more aware of the world and strangers and other things can frighten them slightly while they’re learning, it’ll pass soon🫶🏻
Yes!!! Exactly this for the last 3 weeks. She’s never cared before! It’s so hard and I’m not even back at work til another 5 weeks! Apparently it’s really normal at this age
@Flo how long did it last for you? Xx
We had this for a while but he's slowly starting to be happy with other people or playing independently again so fingers crossed it doesn't last too long for you
