Pumping Question

Hi there! This is a bit long so I apologize in advance! I just went back to work 3 days/week about a month ago and baby goes to daycare on the days I'm at work. He is 4 months old and I generally send him with three 5.5oz bottles which he usually eats all of at daycare. I usually pump about 18oz while at work, sometimes more. Recently I only pumped 12oz during a work day. This was after being home and nursing him all weekend. Is this a sign that he only needs 12 oz during the day? Or should I supplement with my freezer stash or try to pump more? Was this just a fluke or should I be worried about my supply? When he isn't at daycare he nurses with me.

You can ask what he is drinking and go from there. My daughter doesn’t drink nearly as much as she does at childminders as she does at home and so I send with what I get told she has and then a slight bit more just in case she is hungrier

Just a random thought but my supply always tanked a day or two before my period, so maybe it was hormonal or just a fluke. I wouldn’t send less to daycare than he’s been consuming.

@Diana ok thanks, that's what I thought too so topped with my freezer stash and we'll see how the rest of the week goes. I haven't gotten my period back yet but maybe this is a first sign of it 😅
