@Sarah she’s 7 weeks old x
I went through this frustration, too! It's so hard and I'm sorry you have yo go through it. My daughter's mouth was too small to latch when she was born and I wasn't producing very much milk anyway, maybe a couple of drops. It's definitely. Hang in there!
@Lianna Thank you, and I’m sorry you had to go through it too. Thanks for sharing your story. It’s really something we feel as mothers we just want the best for our kiddos, and the nutrition and other elements in breast milk are so important, it doesn’t feel great. But I guess fed is best 💕
Have you seen a lactation consultant or been fitted with a proper flange size? The ones that come with the pump are often not the right size. Just remember with breastfeeding it’s all about supply and demand, to make more milk you have to remove more milk. So whenever you’re supplementing with formula you need to still pump during that feed. Or else little by little your body will produce less and less. When I had my first no one told me that I needed to do that, so my supply dried up within those first few weeks 😣 I was so young I didn’t really know any better. Knowing what I know now, the nurses at the hospital didn’t really help me at all. It was also 16 yrs ago so bf wasn’t as popular as it is now…
Have you tried silicon nipple cover? It helps with inverted nipples. You could ask the midwife or lactation consultant to find the best one for you
I’m going through it now and my baby is 3 weeks now. I pump any day I see much breast milk but else I use formula…
how old is baby?
