This happened to me at the same age. At that stage he was only feeding before naps or bedtime so I would give him teething gel and have to rock him and wait until he was drowsy and then feed him as he would bite me otherwise. It went on for about 2 weeks and then he stopped. It's very difficult as you become really afraid that they are going to bite you and you tense up.
My little one started clamping before she got teeth. Definitely a teething thing. I read to give them a cold teething toy before a feed. We had 1 bite and a few sharp latches but little girl has 8 teeth and still feeds really well.
My 4 month old has done this a few times 😭😭😭😭 I just try to make sure when I realise she’s not actually drinking anymore remove my nipple cus that’s when she tries to use it as a teether
My 7.5 month old actually grabbed my nipple with his hand and pulled it the other day 🤣 he found it hilarious as did I 🤣 I usually take my nipple out from his mouth if he bites me and tell him no thank you. If he continues I take it a way fully and he doesn’t go back on until he’s showing he’s hungry again. Thankfully he doesn’t do it very often now xxx
Sounds like he’s teething. When my son did this I would try to have no reaction because sometimes he enjoyed getting a reaction from me. Would unlatch him by using my finger like a fish hook in his mouth, eventually I’d try again and he’d be hungry enough to focus on eating. He grew out of it eventually.
No advice unfortunately. I’ve got the same issue. LO is 6months and doing a slow bite on both nipples. This on top of pinching my arms or face. 😭
