Calcium and Magnesium should help
Magnesium is helpful and also having bananas seems to help too.
I’ve had the same. After taking magnesium no more problems. Initially in my pregnancy I was taking calcium as well (by my own decision) but was told by a doc to stop them. Was told that we should get enough through diet and taking supplements influences the iron absorption and also leads to some sediments accumulation. So I’d stick with magnesium only. If you do decide to take Ca do not take it at the sane tine as iron, folic, mg.
I had the same in my first pregnancy during the night and was told to drink tonic water before bed
I read a article on my pregnancy app last week that said to get rid of the pain the quickest was is to put your heel on the floor , I tried this and it went away :)
Second the calcium and magnesium comment. You won’t get cramps in the first place when taking ☺️
Yes and it’s painful when I pull a muscle during the night, breaks my sleep and pregnancy insomnia starts! Joys of pregnancy
Calcium and magnesium are great BUT you could also have an iron deficiency - I took both but still got cramps so waiting for blood test results to come back as midwife said it could be iron
I get it multiple times a night sometimes and the only thing that stops it for me seems to be getting up, leaning against the bed, and stretching the leg totally straight
