Hey, so I’ve had the same since yesterday but not worried as I had it in my last pregnancy and it was never an issue, where have you read it is? Check with your midwife anyway as Gemma said, don’t let none professionals give you reassurance as you never know but I don’t think you need to worry personally x
@Adele how much worse did it get in your first pregnancy? And did it affect birth at all? I saw in the nhs website that it can, but also not necessarily
In my last pregnancy it probably didn’t start until around 24 weeks when I started feeling a lot heavier, sorta felt like period cramps, I think it probably lasted a few months on and off, but my midwife recommended I got a pelvic support belt which would ease it a lot! I’d just use it as and when it came on, I don’t think it affected my birth but I did end up having a c section but that was due to a failed induction, do you have your midwife’s number? I would pop them a message just to check in as we’re all different and it never hurts to get anything checked when it comes to baby x
I had bad PGP in my first pregnancy but went onto to have a virginal birth. I have it again, probably worse, in this pregnancy as it started at 10 weeks. Planned for a vaginal birth again. I’m using a crutch some days (pain is very variable!), a support belt and have a yoga ball too 😅😭 1 in 5 pregnant women get it so it’s more common than people know. Firstly speak to your midwife or GP and they will refer you to physiotherapy for assessment - to make sure that’s what you have - and advice. Sending you hugs as it’s awful! x
Had it really bad with my first pregnancy! Follow midwife pip on Instagram. She has a lot of advice on it. A lot of woman do struggle with it but there is things that can be done! It didn’t impact birth, it was amazing as the pain went the instant I gave birth! The only tough part I had was I needed a spinal and it meant moving back to lying down quickly and I couldn’t move fast. Check with your midwife and see if you can be referred for physio! A good pregnancy pillow to help in bed too! It’s a horrible thing and people don’t realise how much it really impacts us when pregnant!
I've got PGS, the more severe version of PGP, and ace done sonce very early on. If you do have Pelvic Girdle pain or even just round ligament pain get it checked out by your GP and if necessary get a referral to a physio.
Anything you’re worried about just go and get checked. Not only for your peace of mind but also I wouldn’t want someone to advise you wrongly on here because it’s only you that will be affected if there was a problem xxx
