What makes you think your supply is low? Babies feed pretty much constantly at this point so it's totally normal for that to be the case. It doesn't mean you don't have enough milk.
I used to think the same, it’s not low but if you don’t directly feed from the breast it can get low. keep feeding please don’t stop it will get better avoid formula because i did that with my first child and then my milk stopped completely. with my second child i just kept feeding directly it was fine. It’s your choice x
@Caroline even when baby was on breast for more than half hour still she was hungry and I had to top up a good amount of bottle milk.
@Serif we get worried that if we dont top up she will not gain enough wait, she gets a little lethargic, and cries if she is still hungry. The main thing is she needs to stay healthy . She got jaundice on day 3.
Keep that baby on the boob! The more milk removed, the more your body will make. Your body is in deep calibration mode and needs all the patience and nourishment. Stay in bed, eat warm heavy foods like root vegetables, bone broths, animal fats, stews, hot teas, etc. Postpartum mamas need more calories than you’d think! Make sure you’re taking a trace mineral supplement and you may even want to start a gentle herbal regimen—Oat straw, nettle, etc.—all lactation safe of course.
@Preeti Agarwal I understand if thats the case then you can top up but don’t give up, the more you pump out milk/ breastfeed the more your body will produce milk ❤️
@Preeti Agarwal that's normal. I used to time the feeds and baby was latched for 17 hours in one of our early days. It's hard but normal! If you want to breastfeed then stop the formula and just keep baby on the boob.
Thank you all
I’m low too because I can’t even get a 30ml twice a day and my baby gets frustrated sucking from the boobs because I believe he’s not getting milk, he will cry and cry until I bring bottle . My concern is getting enough milk eleven if I’m using pump
Echoing the comments that say to stop the formula. Your baby and body are so deeply connected that your body won’t make more or less than your baby needs. If your baby is filling up on formula, your body will adjust accordingly and supply will go down. If you’re trying to exclusively nurse, then it’s better for your supply to phase out formula supplementation asap!
@Bella just keep an eye on baby's pees and energy
@Preeti Agarwalll I am in a same position as you. I mix feeding my baby. It worked for both me and my baby. Every baby is different. So whatever you think is good for your baby and you, just do that.
I was recommended to take fenugreek capsules by midwife. Apparently it helps with lactation.
@Preeti Agarwal baby poos well and pee well. People who have very high supply won’t understand though , I was too worried at first but now I’m getting better and will keep my baby healthy and that’s all

Would recommend Medela freestyle breast pump and look up power pumping x
My only recommendation would be to feed directly from the breast at every feeding, even if it means they want to be fed almost constantly. They will build your supply for you :)
