Husband has more negative to say than positive…

He’s not the type of man who gives compliments or really says anything encouraging or positive about me. But he’s more the type to have banter and just poke fun at me or say something negative. And I’m all for a bit of banter but when there’s no positive to ever balance it out sometimes I am saddened or hurt by it. Yesterday I wore an out fit I thought was really cute which was just bike shorts a tank and an off the shoulder shirt and he told me I looked like a try hard. I told him it upsets me that the negatives always outweigh and he said that’s just who he is. What the hell

The that's just who he is is a cop out response. If he takes this relationship seriously and loves you hed take that on board and try to do better.

I personally can’t stand ppl like that. Its better to be around positive ppl.

I’m 10 years in and I’m worn down now. I find it hard to get wet during sex and he asks why. Well I said yesterday there’s your answer? And if you think that’s just who you are well that’s a pretty ugly person to be in my opinion.

@Whitley probably not real good but I’m going to start doing the same back. Yesterday he bought these shoes I thought were hideous but he loved them and they made him feel good. So I said they were nice and to get them. That’s the difference. I should have really said he looks absolutely stupid in them.

Ehrm, hate to be blunt sometimes but sounds like it's time for counseling or separation. Mainly for your own mental health. Even if you don't feel it now, it'll 100% take its toll. Mental health is important to keep on track to make anyone the best mama they can be for their little one. No one should be treated like that.
