nausea

well it has finally come. the past three days i have been so nauseous. i can barely eat anything without feeling sick afterwards. soon as i try to lay down for the night i get super nauseous. does anyone have recommendations for something that will help? i did not have morning sickness with my first. so this is all new territory. update: i cut up some fresh lemons, strawberries and ginger and put them in a giant water container. that way i have it already set and can just refill my tumbler. i’ve been sipping on it since noon and have felt so much better. i also grabbed some preggy pops while i was at the store.

My doctor says B6. I say ginger beer (soda not alcoholic)

@Alexis i’ll have to see where i can find some. it’s so bad. i feel like forcing myself to throw up would just make it worse. it’s like right on the edge of it too.

My doctor recommended to have lil snacks like crackers or nuts or pretzels (something in that nature, something bland) at my bedside and if I felt even slightly nauseous eat a small snack or I woke up in the middle of the night to pee snag a cracker or whatever was by my bedside (I drank almost an equivalent of 1.5 gallons of water during my 1st trimester nothing quenched my thirst 😂🤷🏼‍♀️) and it helped me a lot. Also ginger ale helped too. I tried to have ginger ale at least once a day. I hope this helps

If I don’t have a small snack every 1.5 hours I get super nauseated. I try to eat protein in my snacks to make it last longer. In the morning I’ll have scrambled eggs and toast. Then my snack is usually granola with Greek yogurt. Throughout the day I’ll eat chicken salad with crackers, cheese and olives with crackers, fruit that I find tolerable. Usually an Apple with peanut butter or mandarin oranges. I find it so hard to drink water so I try sparkling water when it gets really bad. That helps calm it down some. Unfortunately you kinda have to experiment on what settles in your stomach.

Oh yes I second trying to have protein in your snacks, I only kept crackers by my bedside for the midnight nausea and I didn’t wanna go down the stairs to grab a snack. I also spread with water my first trimester so I tried it without ice and it tasted better but not at the same time so my doctor suggested to try putting lemon or limes in my water and it helped with my water intake. I looked it up one time and apparently the lemon in water helps nausea

Preggie pop drops worked for me for some relief! And I just ordered some starberry ginger candies on Amazon that had rly good reviews
